To map the functional topography of the individual, it is scientifically necessary to decode the cybernetic process through which the biological organism converts an environmental stimulus into a structural building block of identity. Within the POMM (Perspective of Observation of Mind Mechanics) framework, experience is never processed as a passive event, but as a dynamic cycle of data acquisition engineered for the homeostatic stabilization of the Self (identity) and adaptive operational efficiency.

This recognition triggers an immediate emotional activation (arousal) that drives the human vehicle toward environmental exploration and the targeted acquisition of specific skills.

An objective experiential domain is defined by two mechanical components:

・ The Definition: The core concept that aggregates and binds a coherent chain of meanings, somatic signs, and behaviors.

・ The Variables: The exact boundary matrices that delimit and bracket the experience itself.

Subcortical emotional activation hits its mathematical peak at the absolute baseline of the process and progressively decreases as the systemic variables are experienced and the boundaries are surgically mapped. An experience is labeled "elaborata" (processed/integrated) the exact millisecond the apparatus has acquired total mastery over its boundaries.

At that precise coordinate, the limbic alarm resets to zero, and the behavior mutates into a silent, fluid automatism. While elementary biological tasks (such as nutrition) saturate rapidly, highly complex domains (such as romantic relationality) maintain a physiologically elevated baseline arousal, as the interactive variables in play are virtually infinite.

2. The Lacuna: The Interruption of the Adaptive Flow

The primary software of the mind does not tolerate informational blind spots; the cybernetic system demands the absolute saturation of every open experiential file. However, when a specific domain fails to reach complete integration, the adaptive process is violently interrupted, leaving the behavioral energy anchored to that file locked in a state of perennial subcortical activation under the form of an unconscious compulsion/necessity.

This structural interruption manufactures the Experiential Lacuna (Experiential Gap)—a deficit center of gravity that heavily deforms the subject's entire projective and perceptual mechanics:

・ Mechanical Suffering: The structural impossibility of closing the adaptive feedback loop generates a persistent, chronic alarm signal within the subcortical hardware.

・ Projective Dramatization: Incapable of navigating the domain through real, operational skills, the individual builds hyper-complex superstructures around the problem, loading it with defensive weights that render it symbolically unapproachable.

・ Warped Compensation: The system unleashes alternative behavioral streams (such as the "heroic rescue" dynamism or reactive, conflictual rejection) engineered to camouflage the void. These maneuvers, however, do not update the baseline lacuna; they merely hide it beneath layers of hyper-efficient, highly exhausting expenditure.

3. Evolutionary Curiosity vs. Fear: The Drivers of Projective Distortion

The terminal trajectory of an environmental experience is strictly governed by the mathematical balance between the two primary antagonistic motors of arousal:

A. The Linear Track (Evolutionary Curiosity Dominance)

When attraction commands the engine, the person experiences a vivid, proactive motivation. In this configuration, Fear operates exclusively as an adaptive safety regulator. The memory gates remain wide open, and real-world skills stratify with surgical precision inside the neural database.

B. The Warped Track (Fear Dominance)

If subcortical fear eclipses evolutionary curiosity, the individual unconsciously twists their own environmental perception. This distortion is never a real-time reaction to the current phenomenal event, but the automated activation of pre-packaged defensive strategies archived inside the Primary Family Emotional Model.

The pervasive presence of fear warps mnemonic registration, rendering existing skills completely insufficient to counteract the internal chemical alteration. The individual projectively records an absolute inability (inadequacy) and retreats from the factual data point to seek shelter inside abstract representations: character masks, stereotypes, and functional proxies.

4. The Character Mask and Identity Fragility

Deep-seated experiential lacunae dictate an elevated baseline of internal alarm, rendering the human machine highly fragile. To shield this vulnerability, the organism activates the "Maschera" (The Character Mask)—a hyper-complex behavioral scaffolding erected to support a precarious, volatile self-image.

The execution of the character mask is systematically coupled with low-empathy intolerance, chronic relational conflict, and immediate somatic responses (somatizations). These signs operate as the clear mechanical indicators of an underlying structural lacuna that the system can neither consciously admit nor functionally process.

Conclusion: The Triadic Stratification of Projective Functionality

In synthesis, the POMM framework enables the surgical classification of an individual's experiential setup into three operational stages, calculated strictly by the polarity of the active projection:

1. Processed Experience (Real Adaptation) $\longrightarrow$ Projection of Attraction

The operational flow is linear, subcortical fear activation is kept at an absolute safety minimum, and skills are perfectly integrated within the Emotional Model. The biological organism operates in seamless homeostatic resonance with the environment.

2. Unprocessed Experience (The Lacuna) $\longrightarrow$ Projection of Relative Threat

The adaptive process has been interrupted, and subcortical fear activation remains moderate. The individual registers the operational inefficacy and the relational friction but has not yet crystallized rigid defensive armor, maintaining a partial permeability to incoming environmental feedback.

3. Warped Experience (The Deep Lacuna) $\longrightarrow$ Projection of Destabilizing Threat

Elevated fear arousal forces the permanent deployment of symbolic superstructures (Character Masks). At this terminal stage, phenomenal reality is entirely replaced by the subject's projection, rendering the organism completely refractory to updates, and a permanent prisoner of its own functional inefficacy.
